In going to be optimistic going down there. We usually play well in turners cross as the pitch is in great knick. Cork seem to be a bit all over the place for a team that has been together a lot longer than ourselves. We seem to be gelling a bit better as time goes on but just need to take our chances better.

1 all i'd say, cork will have a big response after their home defeat friday, hopefully we're not too jaded from our trip friday night. On another note , we seem to be chopping and changing the defence regular enough the last few games, anyone think will Purcell get a run out soon, what has he had? 10 minutes in the Bray game was it?

From what I heard Purcell is struggling in training which isn't helping him game time wise. I was surprised to see brown brought back into the team against derry. I would prefer it we stuck with one or the other. In July I feel we need a centre forward and a centre back. We are ok other than that depending on injuries.

Great result down there, great for confidence. Just going by the radio the performance wasn't the best. Can anyone who was there give a report on the game. Still a win is a win, giving us a pretty healthy points tally for this stage of the season. Hopefully it'll help boost the numbers at the Drogs game next week as well. Goal aside I hear Browne was poor again, Judge got a few more minutes than the last time out, how was he?

Certainly not one of our best performances but a great 3 points.
Barry Ryan was outstanding pulling off a few excellent saves to keep Cork city out. Shaun Kelly was very solid and Williams was fairly solid also. Folan and Brown were both poor and tired looking, not picking up their man and allowing a few simple passing moves by Cork be strung together, the trip and the pressure we were under above in Derry may have taken its toll. Galbraith was always Dangerous and he wins lots of frees, put in some nice crosses but no one on the end of them. O'Leary, Gamble and Tracey were outmuscled a lot in the middle but managed to make a few excellent passes throughout the game and break up some of Corks play. Axel and Curran put in a decent shift but never got the clear cut chances. O Leary and Traceys deliveries from set pieces were excellent.
Brown was at fault for the first goal playing a back pass without looking, straight into the path of Behan. Some poor marking allowed cork runners into the box playing a ball to the back post which was knocked across to an unmarked Duggan to nod home.
Judge did well when he came on. He was very unlucky after taking a fantastic first touch he ran through on goal and trying not to be selfish squared to Axel who had been judged to be offside.
Taylor said himself it was a poor performance but away from home the result is all that counts. Excellent support there. Easily 200+ from us.

Just watching the highlights back now on the player. Had the sound down and I thought they'd made an editing mistake for the second goal since it was almost a carbon copy of the first. How did Cork allow that to happen?

How did Cork allow that to happen? Defending for the second was worse than the first. If Axel hadn't scored Brown was waiting to knock it in. How they let two of our players just stroll in unmarked to the 6 yard box I will never understand.
