I see Craig Burns says on twitter that an announcement is due today on where he will be playing next season.

Craig Burns played for us against Waterford lastnight so you would have to take it he wont be playing for them this season.
Also friend of mine living in Scotland was telling me it was in one of the papers over there that we are talking to Ex-Celtic striker Derek Riordan.

Oh and the talk is that Axel Bossekotha has signed or will be signing very soon. Potential to be a good player imo.

I would reckon we have enough quality at center back. Folan and Williams can play there, and we also have Purcell and Callaghan and possibly Burns. Saying that, I wouldn't say no to another quality centre back as I wouldn't be too sure if the last three mentioned are up to Premier standard.

From pre-season so far the only one that looks real prem quality is Folan. Calla has been good too. Paddy has been awful and if i'm honest i think he will struggle to get back in after missing the first 3 games. From what i know Burns hasn't even been signed he has been so bad in the 2 games he played for us not sure on that though. Williams will be starting left back and according to a good few ive talked to and from what ive seen from him he is a very good player. Folan is top class looks a step above the rest get another in to go with him and we will be very soild imo. |

Looking at the goalkeeping situation we are very light. If Barry Ryan gets injured we are down to a player that has only played two or three times for the first team and an under 19.

Looks like only one more to be added: While a large group will travel to Scotland, there is still the opportunity for a couple of players to be added, with the manager looking to add at least one more signing before the Cork game on March 10th “The new season is just around the corner now, so we’re working on the fine detail in training now, the sharpness at either end of the pitch that improves finishing and keeping clean sheets. I’ve been impressed with the U19 squad so some of those will make the step up to the senior squad and I’ll looking to bring one more player in from the UK.” |

I've just heard we're in for a fella called Conrad Logan on loan from Leicester. He is absolutely massive and looks an excellent 'keeper.
