Has retired according to his twitter. Very surprised no first division team picked him up. Could have been a great player here if he had kept his head down and worked but always seemed to look for the way out as soon as he started performing for us.
A shame though really imo.
I wish him the best of luck in whatever he does now.

O'Flynn speaking about Limerick in an interview:
I was very surprised to see Pat (Scully) let go by Limerick as he got them promoted. However, I feel there's people at Limerick who don't know the value in players or management/staff but all in all it's a great club and the owner Pat O'Sullivan has to take credit for getting them back into the Premier as well.
Yea, I was very disappointed I didn't get to stay as the club wanted me to half my wages as I'd been injured for most of the previous season with a cracked knee cap. Yet they offered players two-year deals on nearly double my wages! I would have loved to have gained promotion with them.
Very disrespectful imo.

I can see why smaller wages would be offered with his injury record but to cut them in half is harsh. Basically it was the clubs way of saying they didn't want him anymore. I'd say Stevo could have got a club if he really wanted to but I don't think the wages he would have wanted would have been on offer.
Great player on his day and a pity he had to retire.

Thats if you beleive the offer was actually half. Here the full interview as you can see there is an excuse for almost every club he was at. theleagueofirelandblog.blogspot.ie/2013/02/stephen-oflynn-exclusive-interview.html
